I think she was talking about the little crunchy “chips” of batter you get with it at Long John Silvers.
Long John Silver’s batter has more spices that I will not name. Chips are fries and the battter drippings are called krums..
All fish and chicken is dusted in cornstarch before batter. Worked for ljs for 31yrs..
